Day 1: Love and Support
Airports
Today as the group gathers in the John F Kennedy airport the sense of mission and destiny is profound. To answer “the call” is to step into something more than just our own wants and wishes, it’s rising to something much higher than that.
Message from Dave:
“Good morning. I just finished a great time with the guys who are on the trip that are staying at this particular hotel. I can already sense that God is at work. Here’s the scripture for the day that you can pass along to others:
Day 1: “I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. (31) Pray that I may be kept safe…in Judea and that the offering I take to Jerusalem may be favorably received by the Lord’s people there, (32) so that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed. (33) The God of peace be with you all. Amen” Romans 15
Today we are standing on the threshold of the amazing days of the “end times.” No one has faced what we are facing so it will be important to pay attention and hear the voice of our Lord in whatever we are doing. The enemy’s tactics are ramping up and we need to be aware of how he works as well so we are not deceived.
He aims to:
Intimidate and terrorize – allowing fear to stop us in our tracks. He uses isolation and distance in relationships to pull us away from each other, destroying the family.
Confuse and disorient us – causing us to target each other rather than support the troops and pulling us in wrong directions.
Overwhelm our lives with time consuming things so we won’t be able to give ourselves rest and fellowship with our Father.
Robs us of our time and focus to worship God by lying to us.
Plan of Action: Isaiah 40:9
“You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, ‘Here is your God!’”
